Winery
The Franković family has been nurturing the
vines for generations. For us, vineyards are
an extension of home, a place where we plant
each sapling with hope, and we carefully look
after each vine as a member of the family.
Generations have grown up on the slopes of
the famous Santa Lucia with the scent of the
earth and the whisper of the wind among the
leaves. This is where our ancestors taught us
that wine is not made only in a barrel, but in
the heart of the one who makes it. For us,
every harvest is a festival of joy and a time for
the whole family to gather.
These are the days when tired hands and smiling
faces meet over the grapes that carry the story
of the whole year. Then our hard work is
transformed into the taste and aroma of the future wine.
Our brand represents a genuine way of wine production, made with personal intense attention to detail, design and care. These wines are born on a location called Santa Lucia, near Buje. As an area with white Istrian soil, this location is known like the mother of exceptional wines and producer of a unique Malvazija. Santa Lucia is the patron saint of family’s wine portfolio – bottles that are filled with experiences, dreams and lasting memories that persist as a taste of a true artist’s imagination and Istrian wine’s magic. In addition, we are also producers of olive oil, which we have named Amfiterra, characterized with a unique fresh flavour, richness and mistery.

Naša vina
Our Malvasia is an exceptional wine with a beautiful yellow color. The aroma is fine and pleasant, and seductively playful in the glass. At first, you can smell citrus fruits, like orange peel, and then a note of peach and pineapple appears, which is accompanied by the classic Malvasia aroma, reminiscent of acacia flowers. The wine is balanced and the intensity of the taste is pronounced. The taste has good persistence in the mouth, which is supported by a fine long finish and a peach-shaped aftertaste. It pairs ideally with fish dishes, seafood and various pasta dishes.
Chardonnay has an elegant golden yellow color. It has a very intense, long-lasting and fine aroma, which is interspersed with tropical notes of pineapple, banana and peach. It has a very balanced and rich texture that goes perfectly with fish and seafood dishes.
Desert wine Luna Blanca with a pale yellow colour it is characterized with the aroma of grapes, lime and ripe and juicy yellow fruit. It has an intense flavor, complemented with various sweet spices. With its harmony, this complex wine leaves a remarkable aftertaste. Combines perfectly with desserts, especially with the ones based on fresh yellow fruit, but can also be served as a substitute for dessert.
Malvazija sur lie aged in barrique barrels for ten moths. This wine has a full body, it is rich in the mouth and on the nose, remarkably mature, showing it is obtained from slightly overripe grapes from a later harvest. The scent is extremely rich with a unique blend of oral and fruity notes with sweet spices. On the palate it gives a sophisticated and beautiful development of honey, vanilla and oak. This wine, with its creamy texture, gives full flavor and a long lasting after taste which remains forever in your memory.
Our Cabernet Sauvignon is a complex wine characterized primarily by it’s ruby-red colour, streaked with a garnet glow. It has a soft structure, outlined by the scent of blackcurrant and blackberries, which gradually opens up to spicy aromas. This wine was aged in barrique barrels and it has a mature, full and rich flavor. Pairs perfectly with truffle dishes , game and red meat.
Stella is a sparkling white wine. On the nose it shows seriousness and character. In the mouth it has a rich and complex taste, and a full body. Very harmonious with a long after taste and a nice perlage. This wine has an expressive freshness and liveliness. It can be served as an aperitive, with cold appetizers, pasta, salads and various cheeses.
This is a wine characterized by a ruby-red colour that gives a glimmer of purple hues. It is accompanied by a fine, pronounced and lasting aroma with nuances of wild berries, raspberries and blueberries. This wine was aged in barrique barrels. In the mouth feels very warm with soft tannins. Perfectly pairs with appetizers such as Istrian prosciutto and cheese, as well as with main courses of red meat and game.
Luna d’ Oro is a Muscat Momjanski made with a special method of dried grapes – passito.For this extraordinary wine we had a later harvest and then a selection of the most beautiful clusters which than went on a drying process on hay. After that wine was ageing in used barrique barrels. This wine has a golden amber color with the scent of candy and overripe fruit. It’s cloying sweetness with a rich grape and dried fruit character gives incredible fullness of taste. Succulent caramel with a long fnish and hints of walnuts makes this wine a real piece of art for everyone’s palate.
Cuvee Filiam is a blend of three white varieties: Chardonnay, Malvazija and Sauvignon, 50/25/25. Very complex grapes due to small yields, up to 1 kg per vine. After processing, Malvazija and Chardonnay are macerated for 3 days, while Sauvignon is immediately pressed and starts fermentation in stainless steel tanks. After maceration, Chardonnay and Sauvignon are aged for 12 months in French oak, with occasional mixing of the lees. After aging in barrels, it requires further aging in stainless steel and bottle. A wine that expresses the potential of the terroir, accentuated minerality and a very long duration in the mouth.
Very specific type of wine which is characterized by the smell of cut flower meadows. It is a white, light and aromatic wine interweaved with fruity aromas of peach and pineapple accompanied by a slight floral nuance. It can be served with asparagus dishes, fish dishes and as an aperitive.
